Massi's Spring Fling draws in large crowd
PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WENY) -- Hundreds of people made their way to Massi's Gardening and Landscaping in Painted Post for their 10th annual Spring Fling. Four greenhouses were packed with vendors and customers.
"It's definitely a great kick off. Its been a long winter, and its nice to see people again," said Pat Balon, the organizer of Spring Fling.
Organizer say more than 100 vendors signed up to show their products. There was everything from handmade directions, to food, to plants, and more. People of all ages attended Spring Fling, and organizers say this was the biggest turnout to date.
"The community has really come out. They have started to put this on their calendars, and there's been a lot of people who've been here for the first time this year too and they see how large of an event it is, because you really can't tell from when you drive by and when you come in. You also see how many greenhouses there are, and how full it is, it's great to see the community come out. It's a great way to start the season," said Linda Massi, the owner of Massi's Gardening and Landscaping.
Organizers say each year Spring Fling grows, and they hope to continue that trend. Massi's is open for the season.
