First Arena collecting donations for the family of injured Chemung Co. Investigator

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- First arena in Downtown Elmira is collecting donations for the Chemung County Sheriff's Investigator that was critically injured on Friday night.
First Arena says they collected donations on Saturday night to benefit Investigator Theetge and his family. They will also be collecting donations on Wednesday, April 3rd, at the last home River Sharks game of the season. Anyone who wants to donate is encouraged to drop off donations at First Arena.
On Friday, March 29th, Investigator Michael Theetge was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run. According to Chemung County Sheriff Bill Schrom, the investigator was hit by a suspect while investigating a retail theft near the Target on County Route 64. Investigator Theetge is currently in critical condition at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
