Hector Town Supervisor arrested on felony DWI charge

HECTOR, N.Y. (WENY) -- Hector Town Supervisor Justin Boyette was arrested on a felony DWI charge, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Boyette crashed his car on State Route 414 in Hector on the evening of February 29th. His charge was upgraded to felony DWI because it was Boyette's 2nd DWI charge in less than 10 years.
WENY News reached out to Hector Town Officials for comment regarding the matter. Town officials said Boyette is still the Town Supervisor and will continue to serve as Town Supervisor.
Boyette was arraigned and released -- pending a future court date.
