Car flips onto its roof in the Town of Tyrone Sunday afternoon
TOWN OF TYRONE, N.Y. (WENY) -- Sunday afternoon around 2 pm, the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department is investigating a one-car accident that happened on County Route 23 in the Town of Tyrone.
Authorities say after an initial investigation, they found a 2014 White Dodge Pickup was traveling eastbound on County Road 23, which is just east of the Aikens Road intersection. The investigation found that the car left the roadway then hit a guardrail, and tumbled into an embankment where it landed on the roof.
The driver was trapped in the car and was safely rescued from the car and taken to Guthrie's Corning Hospital for medical attention.
The investigation is ongoing.
