(WENY) -- LECOM will host its annual Casino Night on March 23rd, starting at 5 p.m. at the Arnot Mall Event Center. Casino Night is a scholarship fundraiser and the money goes towards students' tuition.

"You can [play] just about any casino game, bid on silent auction items, we'll have a live band, [and you can] dress up [because] it's a fancy night. Every cent raised goes towards tuition," said the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Richard Terry, D.O., MBA.

Dr. Terry said we have to have healthcare, and LECOM is training local kids to be local doctors and practice here.

"This scholarship helps offset the cost of medical school tuition. The idea is to create a sustainable pathway to have future healthcare here. We're accomplishing that [and] we're proud. We appreciate the support from the community and this scholarship fund goes a long way towards supporting our students so they can stay here and practice here," said Dr. Terry.
