Watkins Glen's Clute Park Ice Rink is open for business
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Southern Tier's Clute Park Ice rink is officially open for its 2024 season. The skating season was delayed because of inclement weather and rink repairs. According to the Village of Watkins Glen's Website, the rink opened on Friday, February 2nd, and they will be open weekly every Friday-Sunday.
Opening Weekend will have slightly different hours:
- Saturday, February 3rd: 12 - 6 p.m.
- Sunday, February 4th: 12 - 6 p.m.
The season's normal schedule:
- Friday: 4- 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 12 - 7 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 - 5 p.m.
During school breaks:
- Everyday (Mon-Sun) 12- 7 p.m.
Ice skating will cost $7 if you need to rent skates and $5 for visitors who bring their skates and gear. Clute Park requires all visitors to wear gloves while on the ice to protect them. All visitors will be required to sign a waiver if a form has not previously been filed.
