Community Landmark Ted Clark's Busy Market to Close
WAVERLY, NY (WENY) -- A family-run grocery store in Waverly is closing down, after almost a century in business.
Ted Clark's Busy Market made a heartfelt Facebook post on Thursday, announcing the store would close on February 29th.
The local supermarket opened in 1932, and expanded from a single room in the Clark family home on Broad Street, to the store as it is today.
In the announcement, the Clarks say running the store in recent years has been a challenge, given grocery mark trends. They also thanked all of their employees and customers over the years.
