Attorney Bryan Maggs Announces Run for Chemung Co. Family Court Judge
ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- A local attorney announced his candidacy for Family Court judge in Chemung County.
Bryan Maggs made his campaign announcement official Tuesday evening, announcing he is running to be elected a Chemung County Family Court judge.
Maggs has been an attorney for 23 years, previously working as a family court attorney, an attorney for Chemung County, a judicial law clerk, and also taught law classes at Elmira College. Additionally, he spent 19 years as an Army Reserve JAG officer.
"I've been blessed to have a diverse and rewarding legal career over the last 23 years, and I'm excited with the opportunity to serve the community from the Family Court bench," Maggs said.
Maggs is running as a republican. Judges are elected to serve ten year terms. Registered voters in Chemung County will elect two Family Court judges in November.
