Sale of Local Radio Stations Completed, Radigan Media Expands Portfolio
(WENY) -- Radigan Media Group announced Tuesday it has completed the acquisition of three Elmira-area radio stations, adding to its local station group.
Following a year-long lease arrangement, Radigan Media said it has officially closed on the sale of 94 Rock WLVY, Today's Hot New Country 99.5 WOKN, and 1410 WELM. With the new stations, Radigan Media said it is now the largest locally-owned independent broadcast company in the region.
The station group boasts 17 signals covering over 5,000 square miles across the Binghamton, Elmira and Corning area, and across the Pennsylvania border into Bradford County.
Since 2006, Radigan Media has acquired WEBO in Owego, followed by WATS/WAVR in Sayre, and later WTTC/AM/FM in Towanda.
On January 1st, 2023, Radigan Media began operating WLVY, WOKN, and WELM through a lease management agreement with Tower Broadcasting, before the sale was complete.
