Low pressure will approach the Twin Tiers on Saturday with snow likely, especially during the afternoon.  The snow will become steady by late afternoon and may be heavy at times during the evening with snowfall rates possibly exceeding an inch an hour.  The storm system will be fairly fast moving and the steady snow is expected to taper prior to midnight.  A few flurries or occasional snow showers will remain possible on Sunday as low pressure pulls away, but most of the accumulation will occur during the afternoon and evening on Saturday.  Snowfall amounts will generally range from 3-6", but localized higher amounts are possible, especially east of Elmira.  Dry conditions will return on Monday, but another storm system will arrive on Tuesday with a wintry mix followed by periods of rain and gusty winds.
