HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Crystal Chords A Cappella is hosting a Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair Saturday at the Horseheads American Legion, Post 442. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"[We will have] all kinds of wonderful things for the home, jewelry and candles and pottery and all those fun things that you find at a craft fair," said Jo Barlow, president of Crystal Chords.

Proceeds from the event directly benefit Crystal Chords and the work they do.

The A Cappella group will be hosting two Holiday Concerts this year. The first one will be Friday, December 15 at the First Presbyterian Church in Elmira. Crystal Chords' Annual Christmas Concert is happening Tuesday, December 19 at Horseheads First United Methodist Church.

"The fun thing about our Tuesday... concert is, we have guests join us. So we have, for the next few weeks, guests coming on Tuesday nights. So, come on down, ladies... we're learning a few of the Christmas songs so that they can sing in the concert with us."

If woman are interested in joining the group, they practice Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Crystal Chords will be fundraising for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier at the December 19th concert.

The woman's singing group is also on the heels of an International Harmony Incorporated Convention and Competition where the group placed 9th out of 29 other groups. Crystal Chords' Director also won Best New Director Award at the competition.
