ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- On Sunday, November 5th, Elmira High School hosted a craft fair with 88 vendors to benefit the booster club and the school's athletic teams.

"A lot of our teams like our basketball team is here, cheerleading is represented, said Elmira High School Girls Varsity Basketball coach A'Don Allen. "Soccer, baseball swimming, all {of} the teams are here in certain capacities either working the concession stand or helping set up. "

The purpose of the weekend craft fair was to say thank you to the booster club for their endless support. The booster club helps the athletic teams at the concession stands, purchasing big ticket items, and helping to promote the southern tier teams.

"I know a bunch of different sports teams have volunteered throughout the day in shifts and it is just a great thing for everyone to come together and raise money for our school," says Ellie, an Elmira High School student-athlete.

At the event, there was an option to purchase concessions and place a bid in a raffle. Student-athletes and staff's overarching purpose was to thank the booster club and community for all they do for the teams.
