TIOGA, PA (WENY) -- A traveling tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War is returning to the Twin Tiers next summer.

The Moving Wall - a half-sized replica of the national Vietnam Veterans Memorial is coming to Tioga County, Pennsylvania in July of 2024. The wall will be on continuous public display at Williamson High School in Tioga from July 10th through the 15th.

The wall bears the name of more than 58,000 U.S. service members killed during the Vietnam War.

The Moving Wall last visited the area in 2022, when it came to Eldridge Park in Elmira. Previously, it visited Blossburg, Pennsylvania in 2017, and Hornell, New York in 2016.

While attendance to the wall is free, there are costs associated with bringing The Moving Wall to the area. The committee arranging the wall's visit is currently seeking donations. You can find more about the project, and how to donate at https://tiogacomovingwall.com/
