BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- The fifth annual 'The Latournament' will tee off on Saturday, September 16th, at the Bath Country Club. The tournament was started by the Latour brothers, in honor of their mom and dad, Mary and Gordon Latour.
"We thought we would come up with some idea of how we could give back to the community, and we decided to do a golf tournament," said Woody Latour, one of the co-founders of 'The Latournament.'
The proceeds will benefit the Steuben Senior Services Fund in partnership with the ProAction Home Delivered Meals. As of Tuesday afternoon, Latour said he hopes to have 18 teams when things kick off on Saturday.
Latour also said there are currently 15 teams, and if anyone is interested in joining, they can contact him at [email protected].
The cost is $75 per person.
"We also look for anybody who wants to volunteer to help out [and] we appreciate any help we can get too. Also, registration starts at noon and [the tournament] starts at 1 p.m.," said Latour.
