Persistent rain expected to soak the weekend

Showers and storms followed by a fairly decent cooling trend is expected to affect the Twin Tiers. Rain and storms are expected to douse the region multiple times throughout the day. Rainfall is expected to be "off and on" today. This will continue into Sunday, with rainfall being more widespread and possibly even higher in accumulation as well.
For the start of next week, only a fraction of the region should see rain on Monday, however showers cannot be ruled out entirely. The thunder is likely to return on Tuesday, all the while temperatures will sit in the mid 70s for a multi-day period.
