WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- This weekend breweries, vineyards, and other local businesses will be making extra money by letting NASCAR fans traveling via RV or motor home stay overnight on their premises.

Harvest hosts is a community is a small and local businesses that host RVers overnight.

"What we do is we connect RV travelers with a network of over five thousand hosts hence the name harvest host where they can stay across North America and these are small businesses, churches, non profits, farms, museums amazing an awesome locations across the country." says Harvest Host COO Wes Clark

This weekend local breweries and wineries across the Finger Lake region will be accommodating RVers to stay at their locations.

"We're close enough to Watkins that if you're here tonight tomorrow anytime ahead of the weekend and you don't want to pay to stay somewhere or maybe can't pay to stay somewhere because its so busy a place if you manage to get a reservation then you got a cheap or essentially free place to stay and you know you can hang out you know food and beer what more could you want." says Upstate Brewing Company manager Mark Neumann.

When staying the night at one of your favorite wineries or breweries its asked that you support a local business while your at it.

"We just ask that you spend a little money with a local business and so if your going to a winery buy a bottle of wine and do a tasting if you got to a brewery have a burger and a beer our average members are spending roughly fifty dollars per stay and that's all going straight to the businesses pocket so we don't take any sort of cut of that." says Wes.
