The Twin Tiers are facing a dual threat of hazards today. The SPC has the area at slight risk of severe weather. The main hazard indicated is damaging wind. In addition the WPC has the region under slight risk for excessive rainfall. The combination of high rainfall rates over a long period of time this evening could cause some localized flooding for the area. The timing of these events continues to be after sunset and leading into early Friday morning. Rainfall accumulations for the area could be around 0.5" in spots.
