Addison man dead after motorcycle crash in Pa.

TIOGA COUNTY, PA (WENY) -- A 74-year-old Addison man is dead after he crashed his Harley Davidson Fat Boy on Route 6 in Delmar Township, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 16th. Pennsylvania State Police say Alan Freeman was injured after being thrown from his bike after it struck a guardrail.
Freeman was declared dead after being transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
According to police, Freeman was seen trying to secure his hat while he was riding his Harley Davidson, which caused him to steer into the opposing the lane and into a guardrail on the left side of the road from where he was traveling. Despite being thrown from his bike, the Harley kept going, crossing back across lanes before coming to a stop in the middle of Route 6.
