CORNING. N.Y. (WENY) -- Three Birds Restaurant in Corning has opened a new axe throwing lounge. The restaurant located at 73 East market Street has been serving customers for twenty years. 

"The initiative was to create something different we've been here for twenty years its a fine dining restaurant we are still all of that but we recognize in the last couple years that we are moving towards more of a driven experienced economy so with that being said this is what we thought we would attempt and I think we did a great job at it." says owner John Loehnert. 

"Community engagement is really important especially in a small town we feel with our neighborhood if you will the street of all the hospitality and all of the merchants that this is just a great idea this allows for so much interaction going on between business to business you can come to Three Birds for dinner if you choose or for axe throwing if you choose." 

Anyone sixteen and up can participate. Ticket prices are twenty nine dollars for an hour and a half with a coach that will help you for the first ten minutes.
