Rebrand brings new brewery to Owego
OWEGO, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon cutting ceremony for Hop Head Brewery today.
The new brewery is a family owned and operated gastropub. They will now offer house brewed ciders and craft beers in addition to their existing food options.
Jenna and Aaron Fairfield are and have been the principal owners of Hop Head Brewery for all five years of operation. The brewery is formerly known as Sugar Maple Cafe. They wanted to ensure that the community along with their patrons were aware of the rebranding and changes moving forward.
"We wanted people to know it's still us here and that we still have the same great food and not just a brewery, it's great food as well." Fairfield said.
The Fairfield's also mentioned that the expansion into alcoholic beverages also allows the establishment to offer dinner services, in addition to their breakfast and lunch options. Hop Head Brewery also offers live music and community events to its patrons on occasion.
To celebrate the new brewery along with the fifth anniversary of operation, Hop Head will be holding a "Pit Style Pig Roast Hawaiian Luau" on location from noon to 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 15th.
