Ithaca man arrested after high speed chase ends in Campbell

CAMPBELL, N.Y. (WENY) -- A 25-year-old Ithaca man is in custody after police say he led multiple departments on a high speed chase on Thursday, June 29th, while keeping his passenger in the car against their will. Massia White-Saunders faces a myriad of charges, including reckless endangerment, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Unlawful Imprisonment and Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer amongst others.
According to police during the chase White-Saunders caused over $1,500 worth of damage while fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle. After he was arrested in the Campbell area, White-Saunders was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and held without bail.
Police say White-Saunders operated the vehicle in a manner to create a serious risk to others.
The Steuben County's Sheriff's Office thanked New York State Police for assisting along with the Village of Bath Police, Village of Dansville Police, Town of Cohocton Police and Village of Wayland Police Departments.
