Three Newfield men arrested on kidnapping and robbery charges

VAN ETTEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- New York State Police say they have arrested three men from Newfield for robbing a Van Etten man at gunpoint before abducting him in February. Joseph Howell, 37, David Maycumber, 41, and Michael P. Inman, 46, have been charged with Robbery 1st, a B Felony, and Kidnapping 2nd, also a B Felony.
According to police the three men stole firearms from the victim before forcing him to a second location at gunpoint. All three defendants were subsequently arraigned in the Town of Big Flats Court and committed to the Chemung County Jail while they wait on further court proceedings.
The investigation was handled by State Police out of Horseheads.
