CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- A local business on Market Street in Corning celebrated its one year anniversary with a ribbon cutting Monday afternoon. Local representatives from Congressman Nick Langworthy's office, Corning Area Chamber of Commerce, Senator Tom O'Mara's office and others came to celebrate with Pawsitive Strides owner, Star Utter.

Utter said even though they're having the ribbon cutting now, it's been a great year for business.

"It was a great thing to be able to celebrate one year of success in Corning. Sometimes when you start a new business, it can be rocky but the Corning community and everybody has been so supportive," said Utter.

Pawsitive Strides is an Eco-friendly dog and cat grooming spa and cat hotel.

Utter encourages people to take care of their pets in a way that won't harm the environment.

Pawsitive Strides sells Eco-friendly items like cotton leashes, natural flea and tick medicine, and rubber balls made from recycled materials.
