Weekend Weather
High pressure moves off the east coast today with southerly winds picking up. At times we could see gusts over 20 mph. The winds will help to drive temperatures in the mid-70s by this afternoon. As an approaching cold front nears, we will see clouds increasing today. Tonight will remain dry with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower-50s. The cold front will swing through by Saturday morning and bring scattered showers throughout the day. A rumble of thunder or heavier downpour cannot be ruled out by the afternoon hours. Otherwise, temperatures will be slightly cooler in the upper-60s. Drier conditions come back Sunday with temperatures back into the mid-70s before being knocked back down into the upper-60s by Monday. Plenty of sunshine is likely Sunday into mid-week next week as high pressure regains control. Temperatures will be on a warming trend following Monday's cool down. Starting in the upper-70s Tuesday and into the lower-80s by Thursday.
