Vandalized war memorial in Dewitt Park

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- During the early, evening hours of last night, a war memorial in Dewitt Park was vandalized. The Ithaca Police Department is asking the public to help in the investigation.
Ithaca Police said the war memorial, and surrounding sidewalk area, was spray painted with shapes, words, and "graffiti tags."
If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact the police department.
