Wildfire Smoke Produces Hazy Sky

Dozens of wildfires burning across Alberta, Canada are producing quite a bit of smoke, which has been transported into our region via the jet stream. The hazy skies today pose no health threat as the pollutants are several thousand feet up in the atmosphere. As high pressure shifts to our east, more of a southwesterly wind will develop in the coming days, which will tend to deflect the smoky conditions back up into Canada.
