RICHMOND TWP., PA (WENY) -- A Tioga County Pennsylvania woman is behind bars after Troopers say she admitted to lighting her home on fire.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the Mansfield Fire Department was called out to a fire at a home on Hemlock Drive in Richmond Township around 9:50 Monday morning.
Firefighters say they found fires in multiple locations inside. No one was inside of the home when first responders arrived. After the fire was put out, Troopers began their investigation. Troopers say they ruled the fire to be "incendiary in nature" and the fire had "multiple points of origin".
The home owner, Tami Bechtel, was interviewed at the scene and Troopers say she admitted to starting the fires.
