Jake Bobrowski steps down as Elmira College Head Women's Ice Hockey Coach
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Elmira College Head Women's Ice Hockey Coach, Jake Bobrowski has stepped down after one full season with the Soaring Eagles.
The Elmira College Department of Athletics announced Bobrowski's resignation on Tuesday evening.
Bobrowski, who took over after former Head Coach Tim Crowley stepped away in August of 2022, led Elmira to its 7th straight conference championship appearance and their second straight New England Hockey Conference regular season title after finishing undefeated in conference play at 17-0-0. The Soaring Eagles were 21-6-0 where they fell to Norwich University in the NEHC Championship game.
Elmira also led the country in short-handed goals this season with 6 and they were ranked in the top 15 in the country in scoring offense, goals, assists, and team shutouts.
The Elmira College Department of Athletics says IT will conduct a national search for its next Head Coach.
