Gov. Hochul signs legislation to expand reproductive healthcare
ALBANY, NY (WENY)-- Tuesday, Gov. Kathy Hochul signs a legislative package intending to expand access to reproductive healthcare.
“We can’t let the extremists on the other side know that we’re stopping. We must meet this moment with tenacity and the leadership that’s required,” Gov. Hochul said.
The Governor also recently announced $1.68 million in grants through the state's securing reproductive health centers program, which helps ensure access to reproductive health and abortion services statewide.
This funding is part of the Governor's commitment last year of $35 million for reproductive healthcare providers.
