Two Men Indicted on Burglary Charges Stemming From March Incident

VETERAN, N.Y. (WENY) - Two men were indicted on burglary charges stemming from an incident in Veteran involving stolen property including guns.
According to court documents, 26 year old Shawn Mitstifer and 40 year old Kyle Menio knowingly entered a home on Mallory Hill Road in the town of Veteran on March 9th and stole $3,000 worth of property including rifles, shotguns, coins, jewelries, and chainsaws.
According to the original arrest report, members of the Chemung County Sheriff's Office were led to Mitstifer's home on East Sullivanville Road in Horseheads, where a search warrant was executed.
The Sheriff's Office said several guns were recovered along with jewelry and cash.
Both Mitstifer and Menio were indicted for Burglary, Grand Larceny, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Menio was also indicted for Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
