Elmira Woman Arrested After Bomb Threat Investigation in Horseheads

HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) - An Elmira woman was arrested on Thursday after police investigated a bomb threat at a day care center in Horseheads.
According to Horseheads Police, officers investigated a bomb threat Wednesday at Amy's Sunshine Center at 10:09 AM.
With the help of State Police K-9 and Horseheads Fire Department, H-P-D evacuated the day center and searched for an explosive device. However, HPD said they could not find any explosives.
After further investigation, police revealed that a recently terminated employee of the day care center had allegedly made the threats.
Police later arrested 26 year old Kendra Nichols of Elmira with making a threat of mass harm.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
