Pennsylvania DMV Unveils New Military License Plates

HARRISBURG, P.A. (WENY) - The state of Pennsylvania has launched new military-themed license plates for veterans and their families.
The commonwealth already offers a lengthy list of custom plates to recognize one's service. The new plates include the Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans license plate, as well as an air medal plate.
Both are available to qualified applicants through the state DMV.
To apply for the plate, vets must submit a specific form, along with their DD 214.
A third new plate available is the blue star family license plate. Applicants must certify that they are a family member of an active duty, reserve, or national guard member.
