Winter Weather Wednesday
Wednesday will start off on the dry side with mostly cloudy skies expected. A warm front will approach the Twin Tiers and bring a wintry mix to the region by the afternoon hours. A mix of snow and sleet will start off, but changeover to freezing rain as temperatures begin to rise into Wednesday night. Slick conditions are expected this evening as roadways will get icy. Take your time as you head out the door. A winter weather advisory will start at 10 AM this morning and go into 10 PM Wednesday night. Overnight, freezing rain will turn into all rain showers by Thursday as temperatures rise into the mid-50s during the day. A few lingering rain showers cannot be ruled out Thursday. A cold front will sweep through Thursday night and temperatures will be on the cooler side for Friday. Highs will be in the mid-20s with a chance for some lingering snow showers. By the weekend, we will see slightly warmer temperatures in the lower-30s and a chance for snow showers. Sunday will warm up into the lower-40s under partly sunny skies. Unsettled weather will return for Monday and Tuesday with a chance for a mix of rain and snow showers. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s both days.
