ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Department is looking for a man accused of pistol-whipping a woman Sunday night.

According to Ithaca Police, the incident happened around 8:10 p.m. on the 400 block of Franklin Street. 

Officers said an investigation revealed that the suspect came into the business looking for his girlfriend. When the suspect could not find his girlfriend, he became upset and hit the female worker in the face with a handgun. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.
