Fundraiser for a new clinic with Pins for Pets
OWEGO, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Tioga County Humane Society came together as a community to fundraiser for a new clinic. Especially, a clinic that can be conscious to your wallet. Pins for Pets made its bowling fundraiser return for the first time since the Pandemic.
“I mean the medical is the biggest one. I mean surgeries can cost anywhere upwards of thousands of dollars,” said Sarah Hogan, executive director at SPCA Tioga County.
The clinic operated by the SPCA will help lower medical prices for families and their four-legged friends. Services will include: spade and neutering, cleanings, and general health checks.
“We need plenty of equipment. Like I said we are starting from scratch, so, x-ray machines, dental. We are hoping to have a full clinic available for 24 hours medical care for animals,” added Hogan.
Many people came to bowl and show some love to all animals who could need medical support in the future.
“Well pets are an important part of our families and communities. I am a fur-mom of three pets myself, so of course I would be here to support them,” Amanda Gaiter, Bowler.
