Elmira Mammoth Head Coach Glenn Thomaris takes leave of absence
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - The Elmira Mammoth announced on Monday that Head Coach, Glenn Thomaris has requested a leave of absence due to family matters. Thomaris's duties as Head Coach have been relinquished immediately.
The Mammoth announced that Justin (Mo) Levac has been named Interim Head Player/Coach while Michael Cosentino has been named Interim Assistant Coach.
President and CEO of the team, Steve Donner will take over as General Manager of Hockey Operations.
The Mammoth will be back in action at First Arena on Friday and Saturday against the Delaware Thunder. Puck drop on Friday is scheduled for 7:35 PM while Saturday's game time has been moved to 4 PM on Sunday due to the Elmira Renegades home opener at 7 PM.
