CORNING, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're visiting the Rockwell Museum in Corning.

The Rockwell is currently hosting the exhibit Frida Khalo: Through the Lens of Nikolas Murray. The exhibit is a series of intimate portraits of Kahlo, as seen by her long-time friend and lover.

The exhibit is on view now through January 22nd, 2023.

Additionally, the Rockwell Museum is hosting a Dia de los Muertos celebration on October 29th.

The Mexican holiday is steeped in tradition, where family and friends pay respects to those who have passed on. The celebrations can be joyful, and may involve altars known as offrendas, and the decoration of sugar skulls.

The Rockwell's Dia de los Muertos events are included in regular museum admission, and will be held at both the Museum and the Rockwell Art Lab on Market Street. Sugar Skull decoration requires registration, which can be done here
