Heat Advisories in place for parts of Twin Tiers

A very hot day is expected Saturday across the Twin Tiers, as temperatures are projected to rise into the mid-90s.
With this heat comes the risk of very warm heat index values, which is why portions of the viewing area have heat advisories.
Chemung, Tompkins, Schuyler, and Tioga (NY) all have been placed under a heat advisory, which goes into effect at 11 AM Saturday and lasts until 6 PM Saturday.
If you plan to be outside, make sure you are taking precautions by drinking plenty of fluids, taking frequent rests, and putting sunscreen on as well.
