NYCBL announces 2022 All-Star teams, Sayre's Brayden Horton named to Western All-Star team
CORTLAND, N.Y. (WENY) - The NYCBL All-Star game is set to be played on Monday, July 11th at SUNY Cortland with first pitch scheduled for 3 PM. The league has announced the Eastern and Western All-Star teams with players from the Mansfield Destroyers and Hornell Steamers making it, including a local student-athlete.
Sayre's Brayden Horton was named to the Western All-Star team as a designated hitter for the Mansfield Destroyers.
The Liberty University signee has had a stellar season with Mansfield. He is second on the team in batting average (.400), he leads the team in RBI's (19), and he added 4 stolen bases and a home run. He also played a key role in Mansfield winning 8 of their last 12 games before facing the Hornell Steamers on Wednesday.
