PENN YAN, NY (WENY) -- This week in wine country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're visiting Fox Run Vineyards, located in Penn Yan on the western side of Seneca Lake.

Fox Run has recently expanded its outdoor spaces with a wine garden out back, with new pergolas, outdoor seating and fire pits. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided flight, or purchase food from the Cafe and a bottle of wine. The winery has additional outdoor seating on its front deck, with lake views.

The winery does not require reservations for wine tastings, but rather on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups are limited to 12 people. 

Fox Run is hosting a number of upcoming events, including Dogs & Dogs on June 26th, which will support the Humane Society of Yates County. 

The winery is also hosting its Grapes, Griddles & Fiddles on several weekends in June, July and August. This event features live music, grilled cheese sandwiches, and wine!
