ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Registration is now open for the county's spring household hazardous waste collection which is scheduled for May 14th.

The event is free and for Chemung County residents only. No businesses are allowed.

Pre-registration is required by calling the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County at (607) 734-4453. You can call on weekdays and the hours are 9 AM to 12 PM and then again from 1 to 4 PM.

Registration will end on Wednesday, May 11th at 4 PM.
