Elmira's Megan Fedor signs to play basketball for St. Thomas Aquinas College
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Elmira girls basketball standout, Megan Fedor is headed to compete at the next level as she signed to play for Division II St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Fedor played a major part in Elmira's success over the last few seasons. This year, Megan averaged 13.3 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and 3 assists per game. Fedor broke the school record for rebounds in a game when she recorded 23 vs St. Mary's Lancaster.
Megan is also a STAC All-Conference selection and was named First-Team BCANY as one of the top 15 players in Section IV.
Elmira Head Coach, A'Don Allen released a statement on Monday saying "We are so proud of Megan. She has worked so hard to become the best basketball player she can be. She is just scratching the surface of her potential. St. Thomas is getting great basketball player who should have the potential to contribute right away. I've been telling Megan how good she could be since 7th grade, and she finally is seeing the fruit of her hard work. She is a fantastic basketball player and even better she is a great leader and teammate. Can't wait to see her thrive at the next level."
Fedor is the second Elmira player to compete for St. Thomas Aquinas, joining Zaria Thomas.
