Cayuga Heights Police Department Warning of Phone Scams

CAYUGA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WENY) - The Cayuga Heights Police Department is warning residents of a recent phone scam being reported.
The department is saying the calls are being made by individuals posing as service provider representatives offering to upgrade your current plan.
Cayuga Heights Police recommend not offering any personal information or sending any money. They also say to reset your passwords frequently and notify your bank of any suspicious activity.
Most companies will not call you asking to have your bill lowered.
