ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Elmira is hosting its first-ever fundraiser in March, to benefit the medical school's student scholarship fund.

"That raises about $4 million a year,  and every cent we give back to students in the form of scholarships, usually in the form of $3,000 to $5,000, and we try to give it to as many students as possible. And that's the purpose of this great event on March 26th, and we appreciate the support of this great community for it," Dr. Richard Terry, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for LECOM said.

The Casino Night event is being held at the Elmira Country Club on West Church Street in Elmira, March 26th, beginning at 5PM. The event features a cocktail hour, casino games, silent auction, raffle, buffet dinner, live music and dancing.

Tickets and sponsorships are still available. Individual tickets are $125, and include $500 in play chips. Donations are also being accepted. For more information, click here
