UPDATE 3/14: New York State Police confirm Eugene Mattoon was found deceased Monday, along the Cohocton River in Erwin. Police say no foul play is suspected. No other information was provided.

CAMPBELL, N.Y. (WENY) -- First responders in Campbell are looking for a man who is presumed to be missing Friday.

Water rescue crews have been searching the Cohocton River near Curtis Hollow Road. The area is between Interstate-86 and Route 415. Multiple fire departments have responded to the area.

Campbell Fire Chief Glenn Vogel explained, "As of right now we are still trying to piece everything together, the county will be putting out a press release at some point in time, I don't have a lot of information, we have crews searching up and down the river, searching for a gentleman, that's about all I know at the moment."
