3/10/22 UPDATE: Due to the snow storm forecast to hit the region on Saturday, the St. Patrick's Parade is now postponed until 2PM on Saturday, March 19th.

HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) -- The annual St. Patrick's parade will return to Horseheads in 2022, after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This year's parade will be held on Saturday, March 12th, beginning at 2PM. This year, the parade pays homage to the Horseheads Fire Department and first responders who protect the community. Participants also include the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Horseheads Central School District marching band, local bagpipe players, Celtic dancers, and stilt walkers.

Ahead of the parade, the Horseheads Fire Department will take part in the annual shamrock painting in Hanover Square on March 5th at 12PM.

Following the parade, a Corned Beef or ham and Cabbage dinner will be held at the Horseheads Fire Department at 134 North Main Street.

The parade will be held rain or shine.
