Route 13 Connector Road project to start next month

Horseheads, NY (WENY)-- A connector road project that will link a Horseheads industrial complex with Route 13 for easy access to the Interstate will begin next month.
The project was first approved back in 2017, but has suffered numerous setbacks and delays.
The aim is to allow large trucks a road that leads directly into the Horseheads Sand and Transloading terminal.
Currently, trucks have no direct access to the HOST terminal from Route 13 and Interstate 86, having to use residential areas and Hanover Square to enter the HOST.
The project is expected to finish at the end of 2023.
