Women-Owned Businesses Find Support at Holiday Market
(ITHACA, N.Y.) WENY -- Five women-owned small businesses sold their work at the Argos Warehouse Building in Ithaca on Saturday afternoon.
Five businesses collaborated and invited local shoppers to support locally. The open house displayed photography, graphic design art, herbal skincare and more.
Customers spoke to business owners inquiring about their craft and products.
The Art of Yen Ospina business owner, Ms. Ospina herself, talked about why the event was important to her.
“It's very important to shop local because...you're helping out a small business -- somebody that is putting the time and effort into making hand-crafted items that may have taken so many years to make,” she said.
Hala Ostwani, Emmalyn Pure, Baracuda Brand team and the Suntrap team sold their products alongside Ospina. They will continue to sell their products online throughout the holiday season
