People Celebrate the Second Annual Painted Post Holiday Parade
PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Painted Post Fire Department put on their second annual Painted Post Holiday Parade on Saturday evening.
Deputy Mayor and Trustee Brian Francis, with sponsorship of Graphic Solutions, put together the event.
The parade showcased decorated and lighted vehicles from around the area. Vehicles traveled through village neighborhood streets before they ended in Craig Park.
Parade attendee Jeanne Hughes-Jividen watched the parade with her grandchildren.
“What did we see on the fire engine, who was on the fire engine saying ‘ho ho ho,’” she asked the children. “Santa.”
People threw candy and treats to the children watching the parade.
Santa Claus ended the parade as he waved from the front of a fire engine to parade attendees.
