COVID-19 vaccine clinics happening in Cohocton on Wednesday, October 27
COHOCTON, N.Y. (WENY) – The Steuben County Public Health Department is holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Cohocton on Wednesday, October 27.
The clinic will take place at the Cohocton Assembly of God Church on 31 North Dansville Street from 10:00 – 2:00.
All three vaccines will be offered, including third doses and booster shots. Third doses of Pfizer and Moderna are offered to moderately or severely immunocompromised people. Booster shots of Pfizer and Moderna are offered to eligible people six months after their second dose; Johnson and Johnson’s booster is offered two months after the initial dose.
“We are excited to bring all of the vaccine options to a new area of Steuben County through a partnership with General Electric and the Assembly of God Church,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. “As we head into the holiday season, there’s no better time to have the family protected.”
Participants are strongly encouraged to register for their vaccine ahead of time by clicking here. Walk-ins will be accepted but may experience a wait time depending on clinic capacity. All vaccines are free, and free transportation to clinics is also offered through 211.
All clinic attendees must wear face masks and are expected to wait 15-30 minutes after the shot for observation.
